Orthotropic bracket and perforated specimen correlation
Two same-mesh three-dimensional orthotropic cases compare displacement fields with CalculiX and Code_Aster.
Main observables and references
Values come from the linked campaign record. Acceptance thresholds are shown separately from observed results.
What was calculated?
- The campaign includes an L bracket and a perforated specimen.
- QF Solver, CalculiX 2.20 and Code_Aster 18.1.0 use the same meshes, constraints and loads.
- The figures show displacement fields; they are not stress convergence plots.
What the results say
- For the perforated specimen, full displacement field differences are 0.000132% against CalculiX and 3.60 × 10⁻¹¹% against Code_Aster.
- For the L bracket, differences are 0.000116% against CalculiX and 3.42 × 10⁻¹⁰% against Code_Aster.
- The review also records eight refinements with fixed-distance paths and band averages for singular stress regions. Its nodal peaks are not interpreted as finite, converged point values; the L-bracket Code_Aster comparison uses integration-point observables.

Where this case stops
- The comparisons cover homogeneous linear orthotropy and identical meshes.
- The stress acceptance decision applies to its specified path and band observables. It does not qualify a singular nodal peak, composite damage or a continuously varying fibre field.
