Every version, easy to trace.
Browse every available QF Solver tag from the latest version back to the first public alpha. Each entry summarizes the main changes, verification scope, and limits, then links to its exact source snapshot and, when one exists, its GitHub release page.

The release history
A tag points to source code. Only entries marked as a release have a matching GitHub release page. Pre releases may be less stable than regular releases.
01v0.2.11Latest
- Adds an experimental serial gyroscopic modal route for straight BEAM2 shafts with centered rigid axisymmetric disks.
- Produces Campbell results with complex mode tracking, branch lineage, degeneracy handling, and ambiguity diagnostics.
- Checks include zero speed behavior, formulation and frame checks, an analytical disk oscillator, signed speed spectral splitting, and internal mesh convergence. The route remains bounded and experimental.
02v0.2.10
- Unifies selected nonlinear analyses around shared solve state and transactional trial, commit, and rollback handling.
- Adds continuation and bounded arc length alongside selected geometric nonlinearity and small strain or bounded corotational J2 paths.
- Includes scoped contact and friction work, Code_Aster correlation, and selected PETSc and MPI checks. These records do not qualify every nonlinear case.
03v0.2.9
- Preserves a source snapshot between the v0.2.8 and v0.2.10 releases.
- There is no matching GitHub release page or published installation package for this tag.
- Nonlinear work from this development cycle is described with the v0.2.10 release. This tag does not add a separate qualification claim.
04v0.2.8
- Introduces bounded serial mixed mesh paths using connected TET4, WEDGE6, and HEX8 regions for selected static and modal cases, translational MPCs, and multiple materials.
- Adds experimental Newmark and harmonic routes, a limited .inp import subset, mixed HDF5 result storage, frictionless penalty contact, and HEX8 SRI as separately scoped capabilities.
- Publishes 46 element and analysis records: 32 qualified within scope and 14 experimental. Each status remains limited to its documented workflow.
05v0.2.7
- Extends bounded verification for TET4, TET10, HEX8, and HEX20, with separate WEDGE6 modal and small strain J2 routes.
- Adds linear buckling and initial frictionless node to triangle contact workflows, while strengthening static, modal, harmonic, and transient checks.
- Recorded PETSc and MPI runs reach about 10.1 million DOFs under named configurations. This is a documented workload, not a general scaling guarantee.
06v0.2.6a0
- Development snapshot centered on verification and validation structure, capability registries, and evidence records.
- Separates execution provenance, evidence review, and release decisions to improve traceability.
- No matching GitHub release or installation package exists for this tag, and it adds no newly qualified FEM route.
07v0.2.5a0
- Documents bounded small strain J2 paths for TET4, TET10, HEX8, and HEX20, plus Total Lagrangian elasticity for TET4 and HEX8.
- Adds sparse linear buckling and frictionless contact within specific documented routes.
- Expands robustness, failure, and performance evidence. Friction, finite kinematic J2, and arc length are not qualified by this tag.
08v0.2.4a0
- Builds shared experimental nonlinear solid mechanics infrastructure with explicit trial, commit, and rollback states.
- Documents small strain J2 paths for TET4, TET10, HEX8, and HEX20, plus full Newton solution within the stated scope.
- Adds tangent checks, Newton diagnostics, and bounded Code_Aster correlation. Modified Newton, cyclic, and broader multi element routes remain outside that evidence.
09v0.2.3a0
- Brings HEX8 and HEX20 into selected static, modal, Newmark transient, and harmonic workflows.
- Adds matching engineering verification and packaging checks for the published alpha routes.
- These records apply to documented element and analysis combinations. They do not qualify every model size or configuration.
10v0.2.2a0
- Explores a shared backend structure and clearer solver diagnostics.
- Prepares optional PETSc and SLEPc integrations and early large model work.
- This is a source tag only. Read it as development history rather than an installable release or finished qualification.
11v0.2.1-alpha
- Introduces early verification and validation traceability through a machine readable registry and command line checks.
- Separates test results, evidence status, technical review, and release status.
- Records a MITC4 architecture migration. This source tag has no matching release package.
12v0.2.0-alpha
- First public alpha with a Python solver in a src layout, a public Python API, and a command line interface.
- Begins routes for TET4 and TET10 solids, MITC3 and MITC4 shells, BEAM2 beams, and discrete entities. Maturity varies by analysis.
- Exposes early static, modal, Newmark transient, harmonic, and bounded nonlinear paths with initial tests and CI. Alpha status does not imply certification.
A source tag without a release page is provided for code history and traceability. It should not be treated as a published installation package.
